Gloves made with Pittards HI WR Combat leather have been specially treated to offer more resistance to perspiration than other leather gloves. The leather is guaranteed to stay soft for longer and retain all its properties to the end.

WATER RESISTANCE

HI WR leather offers more water repellence to protect hands in all weather conditions. The water resistance process improves the insulation properties of Pittards leather so hand temperature is kept warm at all times. It guarantees dexterity and comfort, even in the most adverse conditions.

Different activities and weather conditions call for different levels of snow and rain protection.
The terms “water repellence”, “water resistance” and “waterproofness” are often used to describe the varying abilities of textiles to provide protection in wet weather. But each term has a distinct meaning.
Moisture- or water-repellent fabrics shed water and snow as long as the chemical treatment remains intact. Over time, the treatment will wash or wear off and it will have to be renewed.
Of course, restoring the durable water-repellent treatment (DWR) of your WINDSTOPPER® garments is easy.
Only water-resistant WINDSTOPPER® fabrics with a continuous barrier can durably withstand the entry of water at pressures of up to 0.1 bar. That is why we can offer reliable protection against snow and light rain, even after multiple washes.
All WINDSTOPPER® garments include soft and elastic materials.
Abrasion resistance.

Only face fabrics made of abrasion-resistant materials can durably withstand constant friction from stones and rocks, or the straps of a rucksack. Fabrics without this feature wear and lose their functionality over time. That is why only the most abrasion-resistant fabrics, such as polyester and polyamide, which are proven to offer reliable protection even under rough conditions, are used for WINDSTOPPER® garments.
